Dr Arnout Everts – Managing Partner Geoscience and Geo-modelling expert, holds a PhD in geology from VU University Amsterdam and has over 26 years of international experience in exploration and development geology, field development planning, E&P research and uncertainty management. Arnout has worked on shallow and deepwater clastics, carbonates, fractured reservoirs and unconventional reservoirs; in a wide variety of settings and in basins all across the globe. Being both an expert geomodeller and seasoned seismic interpreter, Arnout can effectively liaise across the full range of subsurface disciplines. Besides his technical skills, Arnout has plentiful experience leading integrated E&P study teams. He has held technical and project lead roles with Shell International, Shell Malaysia, PETRONAS and last Murphy Oil, prior to co-founding LEAP Energy.
Laurent Alessio – Managing Partner, Petroleum Engineer holds an Engineering Degree from Ecole Centrale de Lyon and Imperial College and brings a wide experience of petroleum and reservoir engineering, field development planning, subsurface and development team coordination, expertise in uncertainty identification and management, project management and opportunity realisation process. He started his career with Shell International working North Sea and international ventures, and subsequently with Shell and joint ventures/operating companies in South-East Asia, as principal reservoir engineer, project leader, subsurface team leader, development manager in a variety of geographical, geological and recovery mechanism settings, prior to co-founding LEAP Energy. Laurent has direct experience of over 100 technical projects including leadership of integrated field development studies, production reviews and development feasibility screening studies.
Chris Connell – Managing Partner LEAP Energy Australia. Chris brings over 30 years of international experience in conventional and unconventional oil and gas developments in both technical and management roles. Chris holds a BSc in Geology from Victoria University and a Masters in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University. He has a wealth of experience in field development for major and mega projects and is a strong advocate and practitioner of project assurance. Chris has been involved with a vast number of projects over the years in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Middle East and North America with a strong focus on petroleum engineering and production technology. These projects have spanned conventional, unconventional and EOR. Chris is well accustomed to building, developing and running large integrated project teams with a strong focus on delivering quality outcomes. He is experienced in managing and executing large and complex development programmes.
