GEOLOGY & GEOPHYSICS LEAD
Piyush Panwar (G&G Practice Lead, Principal Geologist) has a geology Masters’ Honours from Panjab University, India. Piyush has 32 years of experience and has profound technical understanding of upstream oil and gas industry. He has been involved in numerous international projects, both as a member and as team leader in a variety of assignments. He is a highly motivated and enthusiastic professional with sound knowledge of Indian, Sudanese and Malaysian E&P environment. He has strong communication, presentation and story-telling skills. Piyush also has an aptitude for coaching and mentoring of junior staff. He has a solid background in regional basin and structural geology including naturally fractured oil and gas reservoirs.
PETROLEUM ENGINEERING & PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY LEAD
Archana Kumar (Petroleum Engineering/Production Technology Practice Lead, Principal Petroleum Engineer/Production Technologist) gained a B tech Petroleum Engineer from Indian School of Mines and a MSc Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University. Archana brings 16 years of industry experience with a very strong field operations experience in both land and offshore environments, as well as production optimisation, artificial lift design and reservoir management. Over the last two years, she has also developed a strong reservoir engineering simulation foundation and working experience being enrolled in several simulation studies for conventional as well as unconventional reservoirs.
TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT LEAD
Dr. Dmitry Kuzmichev (Technology Lead, Principal Reservoir Engineer) holds a PhD in Reservoir Engineering from Gubkin University, Russia. Dmitry heads up Technology group at LEAP Energy and in charge of Oil and Gas software products development and integration in a full technology cycle including commercial, in-house products and customized software solutions for a clients. He has 11 years of experience in reservoir engineering, and prior to joining LEAP Energy, Dmitry was heading up the IOR/EOR Planning and Monitoring Division for Lukoil in Russia. Besides having an operator experience, Dmitry worked in Schlumberger as a Research Scientist in the field of gas condensate testing, IOR and EOR implementation. He is co-holder of two patents. Principal Reservoir Engineer for a various field studies: FFR / FDP / ADP, reservoir simulations. Team lead and project manager for LTRO (Locate The Remaining Oil) and production allocation studies.
MARINE GEOSCIENCE LEAD
Chong Kok Leong (Seismic Acquisition Operation manager) holds an MSc in Management for the Oil & Gas Industry from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh and Bachelor of Petroleum Engineering Degree from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He started work as Seismic Engineer in 1999 with Schulmberger WesternGeco on various type of seismic acquisition projects which include 2D, 3D, 4D and OBC. He spent a year in Norway Technology Center on a research project related to GPS and current meter in OBC survey. From 2006 to 2010, he was involved in various strategic, planning and key managerial roles for Schlumberger WesternGeco which includes Asia Pacific Regional Sales Manager, Country Manager for South East Asia, and Global Marketing Analyst based in UK. From 2014 onwards, he worked with Pexco, a PSC Operator with interests in Sarawak, Ethiopia, Indonesia and Australia. He held various key positions in Pexco, which includes Head of Business Operations, Operation Manager, Procurement Manager and HSE Manager. Through his 18 years of experience in the industry, he has accumulated knowledge working with various oil and gas companies in Malaysia, Australia, China, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Brunei, Azerbaijan, Mexico, USA, Norway, UK, Cameroon, Egypt, Ethiopia and Angola. He has extensive experience in project managing seismic acquisition surveys, site investigation surveys and environmental surveys which requires detailed planning, coordination and engagement with regulator, local government agencies and various stakeholders.
